Favorite Things - January 2019

In 2019 I plan to do a monthly “favorites” post. This is not a sponsored post. I am just sharing what I am loving right now.

Modern Crystal Hardware

The crystal hardware I am loving lately is smooth and sleek. Think traditional with a fresh twist. I have the knobs in several places in my house, but just recently I fell in love with the door knobs. I spied them on a recent holiday home tour. Designer Stacy Jacobi used them throughout her lovely home that I featured in a blog post last month. If you missed that post you can see it here.

Emtek offers a wide variety of crystal hardware for doors and cabinets. I love the Hampton Crystal Knob with the Wilshire Rosette in polished nickel. Both are from Emtek’s modern crystal contemporary collection.

I used Emtek’s Georgetown Crystal knobs in my office.

I also used them on some built in cabinets in my daughter’s room.

Laura Park Pillows

If you are looking to inject a bit of color into your decor this winter, you might consider some throw pillows from Laura Park Designs.

Laura Park’s pillows come in a wide variety of colors, patterns and sizes that are sure to inject life into your interior. Laura Park Designs website is definitely worth a visit!

Scallop Planters and Trays

I picked up both of these cuties on a recent trip to Target. Of course I went for in for one thing…and well you know how that goes…

The Terra Cotta Planter from Smith and Hawken comes in four sizes, it has an attached drip tray and a stopper in case you don’t need the drainage. The bottom is smooth and the gray color is perfect with just the right amount of brown. The low profile one is perfect for a living centerpiece of succulents or small plants.

This sweet little 9” powder coated tray from Hearth & Hand is versatile and adorable. My plan is to use it on my daughter's bathroom vanity to corral her make-up brushes, beauty potions and products that are always scattered about.

Canvas Floater Frames

When I recently set out to find an inexpensive plain white canvas floater frame, I was shocked at how hard something plain was to find and how expensive the options were even at my local big-box craft stores with a 60% off coupon. So I took my search to the internet and was so pleased to find pictureframes.com .

The frame for my 36” square canvas came assembled and with very little effort I was able to mount the canvas and hang it on the wall. I had a discount code because it was my first order, but all in it was less than $120.

Kathleen Jennings Beauty Blog & SK II Facial Treatment Mask

So this one is a little out of my lane, but I just recently discovered Kathleen’s Blog. Her tips and reviews of all things beauty related are so helpful. I recently purchased a few of her “must haves” and found everything to be just as she described. There are recommendations on her site in every price range. My particular favorite was the SK-II beauty mask. I was a little skeptical because it’s a little pricey ($17 for one mask…eek!). However, Kathleen claimed that if you had a special occasion that you wanted to look good for, it was well worth the splurge. My daughter’s debutante ball was a few days after Christmas. I was exhausted and it showed all over my face. I knew we would be taking family photos all night so I decided to give it a whirl. Let me tell you, that mask is FABULOUS! My skin felt good and I looked awake and refreshed. Seriously - It’s a great product and btw I am not getting paid in any way shape or form to say that.

Hope everyone is having a great start to 2019! Thanks so much for visiting my blog. Please consider subscribing if you haven’t already.

XO,

Anne
