Nothing livens your house up more than plant life. Every room that you spend time in should have something, whether it’s cut flowers or plants.

Peonies are one of my favorites. They are so beautiful and easy to arrange. Consider adding the greenery you have in your yard to any arrangement. My boxwoods were in need of a trim, so I used that as filler.

Change Out Pillows and Throws For Something Brighter

If you haven’t already, put away your heavy or faux fur throws and pillows and bring in some soft cotton ones in pretty spring colors.

Add Some Wallpaper

Wallpaper makes such a difference. Yes, it is a commitment and it can be pricey. But, it can have a huge impact on the way your space feels! If you chose a pattern that makes you happy you won’t regret it. Start out with a small space such as a powder room. Pictured above is a wallpaper that I recently had installed in a clients powder room. It took a plain bathroom with no natural light and turned it into a showstopper!

TIP : If you are going to the expense of installing wallpaper, go the extra mile and hire a professional. There is an art and a science to hanging wallpaper. A professional paper hanger will know what it takes to prep your walls and will hang your paper to last. Their attention to detail makes such a huge difference. Notice in the first picture of the green powder room, how he positioned the paper to run the vine perfectly up the corner. Consider the cost of installation as a part of your budget. A good paper hanger will make an inexpensive paper look spectacular, whereas a bad one can take an expensive paper and make it look really cheap.

More wallpaper goodness above.

I hope I have given you a little inspiration to get your house ready to embrace this special time of year.

Happy Spring Everyone!

XO,

Anne
